  “If you are looking for a good, honest, and reliable diesel mechanic....keep looking. I called Jay for a simple problem with a track loader and dump truck. He said he would call me the next week to come by and take a look. Three weeks later he finally called and asked if I still needed the work done. Since I did, I told him yes and come on by. He eventually came over and after taking 20+ minutes worth of phone calls, he then complained about them for the next 10 minutes, all of which he proceeded to charge me $175/hr for, after leaving loose parts all around he said he would have to come back at a later time to actually fix anything. He agreed to take and test, at his shop, the batteries from the dump truck which I already suspected were bad. I told him I would just go to Napa or Fleetpride to get new batteries if they tested bad. He called me the next day and said they were bad, but that I should just come buy the batteries from him instead. I made the mistake of assuming that he would charge me a fair price for them. When I got there he already had them all marked up and proceeded to charge me $145 each for batteries that would have cost me just $75 down the street. It is over a month later and I'm still waiting to hear back from him about fixing the loader....not that I would let him anywhere near any of my equipment at this point. Hopefully this review can save the next person some of the time and money I squandered hoping this guy might be helpful.”
